How to crew up a short, pin people from posters, compare two names, and export a one-page sheet. Reach us anytime - we read every message.
Yanilomo is a crew board for shorts and student films. You add empty roles, search real people, pin them from a credit wall, then export a sheet. Projects live on this device - no account, no iCloud sync, no Yanilomo cloud.
People, titles, and posters come from The Movie Database (TMDB). The App is not a watchlist - it opens on your projects.
Long-press a role card to clear the person, edit the casting note, move the role, or delete it. Casting notes stay on the phone and are not sent to the network.
On a person preview or detail, tap Compare. You can hold two people. If Compare is full, choose who to replace. Left is always the first person added.
Use the poster walls to decide, then Use [name] to pin the one you want back to the role. Tap a headshot on Compare to search a replacement or remove that slot.
From the crew board, tap Export. You can include posters and the logline. Preview the image, then:
Empty roles print as TBD. The sheet is generated on your device.
Projects, roles, pinned people, covers, notes, and search history stay on the phone. Uninstalling the App deletes that local data. We cannot restore it.
Check the network. TMDB must be reachable. Then try Me -> Clear Image Cache and search again.
Create a project first, then add at least one role (or use common roles). Search will ask which project and role to pin to.
TMDB may not list them. Use Manual on the person search screen and type the name.
iOS Settings -> Yanilomo -> Photos / Camera. The App only asks when you set a cover or save an export. Camera is for a cover photo. Photo Library is for choosing a cover or saving the exported sheet.
Decline the tracking prompt, or turn it off in iOS Settings -> Privacy & Security -> Tracking -> Yanilomo. The crew board still works. Ads may still appear, without the advertising identifier. That prompt is for Unity LevelPlay and the ad and measurement libraries named in the Privacy Policy, not for your projects or photos.
Decline the notification prompt, or turn notifications off in iOS Settings -> Yanilomo -> Notifications. Firebase Cloud Messaging will not deliver alerts. Search, pinning, and export do not need this permission.
Yanilomo uses the system Mail sheet. If Mail is not set up, iOS offers the share sheet instead so you can send the text another way.
Update to the latest Yanilomo build. Share needs a popover anchor on iPad; current versions set that automatically.
